Michael has a diverse background from growing up in the Family Remodeling Center business to working construction for a number of years to eventually attending the Willmar Institute of Technology to earn his Electronics Degree with a major in Communications.
His electronics eventually lead him to become the IT -Director of Telecommunications at Copper Mountain Ski Resort for 15 Years. While at Copper Mountain he was instrumental in the development and installation of the resort wide Fiber Optic Systems, Data Center and Systems Upgrades through the years to bring the resort to state-of-the-art technology.
After leaving Copper Mountain he pursued a partnership with family to help develop Solar Energy Systems for Riverside Ca and Hawaii Solar Energy Initiatives. And remains active in the energy sector with DEH Environmental Group, LLC. His involvement includes project management and customer care before and after project completion.
Michael grew up in Northern Minnesota where his love for the outdoors grew. Early in life he fell in love with skiing and anything outdoors. After High School he has lived in the Mountains most of his life enjoying Skiing, Mtn Climbing, Hiking.
Previous community involvement includes the Log Hill Volunteer Fire Department and the Summit County Rescue Group as a Board Member, Mission Coordinator and Sheriffs Deputy.
He Currently lives in the Rocky Mountain Town of Ridgway, Colorado.
